As of the upcoming Wednesday (Sep. 13, 2017), in the next 10 working days, DwP-Balkans will publish an oral history interview with a survivor of sexual violence each day, taken from the memory book "I want to be heard: Memory book with stories of women survivors of torture during the last war in Kosovo”.
The aim of the project is to document individual narrative and memories of women-in-war, which will, moreover, contribute to the process of dealing with the past, social and transitional justice, and simultaneously present a sustainable source for human rights activists, watchdog and advocacy groups, policymakers, researchers, academics and artists for further processing.
"I want to be heard: Memory book with stories of women survivors of torture during the last war in Kosovo", is implemented by forumZFD – Kosovo program and Integra, in collaboration with the Kosovar Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims, and supported by German Federal Ministry for Cooperation and Economic Development, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and UN Women.
